It ultimately solved my problem! : CLEARSTREAM5 HDtv Antenna
I am placed 95 miles from the Tv towers on Mount Wilson in Los Angeles, with a fairly open view down mountain passes. I use a Db-8 Uhf antenna which in effect picks up the 1000 watt Uhf stations fairly reliably and those of lesser power with varying degrees of success. With the final conversion to digital, four stations reverted from high Uhf, back to Vhf.. 7, 9, 11 and 13, which required me to find a Vhf antenna.
This antenna reliably receives channel 7 and 13, but as yet has not been able to pull in 9 and 11.
11 any way is operating on low power and is problematic even for users in La and so they have received approval to growth their power and are in the process of doing so. Since I am currently getting a weak signal on 11, but one below the "digital cliff", I expect to get a dependable photo on 11 once their upgrade is completed. I have had no success with 9, even though their signal is reported to be as strong as 7. I have no idea either this is a problem with the antenna, the hub or my location.
This antenna is well made, and takes small space due to its unique vertical design, and seems to work equally to other deep fringe Vhf antennas that wish 8 to 10 foot beams.
