Solving free TV viewing with a Winegard Antenna : Winegard HD7697P High Definition VHF/UHF Antenna
I selected this particular model based on the Wineguard website selection tool. The packaging is not the best, the box was smashed in a few spots (the box is over 6' long) and a couple of elements and one bracket were slightly bent on arrival, but easy to straighten out. The instructions were clear, but a little on the sparse side. We are 23 miles SSW of the transmitters for 90% of the regional stations. All of them are coming in clear, as well as additional stations further away. The antenna is mounted at the edge of the roof about 15' off the ground with lots of large trees around. With about a 30' cable run and only one TV we didn't need an amplifier.
